THE AUXILIAR

Every year, English natives around the world apply for the Spanish Education Ministry’s Programa de Auxiliares de Conversación. This government-sponsored program allows the country’s public primary and secondary schools to be exposed to the English language through the physical presence of a native speaker from an English-speaking country.

The auxiliares de conversación (language assistants) are given the task to offer support to the school’s English teaching force. Aside from strengthening English communication skills between the teachers and the students, they are also expected to be ambassadors of their culture.

For the school year 2019-2020, Lo Romero welcomed its new auxiliar de conversación from the Philippines. This is the school’s first time to receive an appointment from an auxiliar originating from Asia.

Lo Romero’s auxiliar is Rylan Diaz, and he is expected to join the English department until the end of the school year.

The school welcomed Rylan with a banner made by the students.

This page of the blog is dedicated to showcase documents, activities and presentations prepared by the auxiliar. Informative data about his country will also be uploaded. The school encourages both the parents and their children to visit this page regularly to access activities conducted in the class, and the future lessons we are working on.
